Amy Winehouse In Spot of Divorce Bother

Blake Fielder-Civil is pressing for a divorce from his wife, Grammy Award-winning singer Amy Winehouse, his lawyer says.

Henri Brandman said Fielder-Civil, who is in a British jail after breaching terms of his probation last November, is citing photos of the singer in the Caribbean in the company of another man as grounds for divorce.

Brandman said Fielder-Civil has asked him to "commence divorce proceedings on the grounds of Amy's adultery."

Winehouse's representatives confirmed they had received papers and said "the matter is with Amy's lawyers."

A British tabloid showed Winehouse with 21-year-old actor Josh Bowman and quoted her as saying a new relationship has helped her escape drug dependency.

"I've finally escaped from hell," she was quoted as saying in the News of the World. "I'm in love and I don't need drugs. Look at me, I'm glowing."

But later, the British press reported that Bowman had denied any relationship.

Winehouse married Fielder-Civil in May 2007 and the two had a tempestuous marriage, with frequent reports of drug use.

Fielder-Civil was jailed last year for assault, but released into a drug rehabilitation centre in November.

He was sent back to prison just weeks later after failing a drug test.

Winehouse, who won several Grammy Awards for her 2006 album Back to Black, grieved publicly for her husband and frequently asked fans to call for the release of "my Blake."

However, she was seen in public with Pete Doherty last summer. Winehouse behaved erratically throughout 2008 and cancelled all performances from September, saying she was trying to get her health back.
